The date is getting closer, and we want to foreclose at all costs to be the reason for another delay. Also, the Support Area on the official homepage should go live soon, and we are already gathering the problems of the players from the boards, to built up a helpful Support-Center.

So long, dear diary…and wish us good luck, that the frustration and anger of the community goes away soon.

Those 11 months hard work on Gothic II are really paying off now. Only two days ago we received the news, that the VUD note from the editor: So the team is in a vey good mood now.

After the release of Gothic II, we took a few days of self-adulation and rest, but those days are long gone now as we are knee-deep into works again.

Thus, it is even more fun to watch, how our second title is doing. However, the AddOn will not be done solely by us.

Our Homepage will soon hold a call to all gamers to send us suggestions and ideas especially for the story. There was a lot of great input from gamers for Gothic II, and we want to keep this promising procedure for the future.

Furthermore, in a couple of days we will be starting a new contest, and I keep thinking day and night about which question to put to the contestants this time.

Maybe someone out there has a good idea and mails me via webmaster piranha-bytes. Secondary, we are also looking for a small house in the Ruhrgebiet area note from the editor: We are thinking about a nice little house somewhere in Bochum, Gelsenkirchen, Dortmund, Essen, Duisburg, Mülheim or the surroundings.

Ok, next thing I should do is putting up an official announcement for the AddOn on the website. A pity, so now I have to look for something else I can keep people wondering and thinking about.

Or shall I first start the contest? Or rather the AddOn area on the homepage? Sometimes, I am terribly undeterminded, so I will now go to our lounge and medidate over all this in peace.

But maybe I can show you, my dear diary, to my psychiatrist later on, to learn more about the long-tail claims I suffered during my time as a Piranha.

At the time being, work on Gothic 2 evolves efficiently in all areas. Admittedly, this is required, for there is a lot of work left in a short amount of time.

Sleeping bags are not seldom to be found wadded below the desks, because we want to save the few minutes it takes to drive into the office and use them reasonably.

A short ramble through the offices of my respectable colleagues showed them busy finalizing, respectively tuning particular game elements.

Mike is pestered with tuning values and numbers, so that the game will be well balanced. Carsten is tuning the engine performance and will not stop, until the code is optimized through the last bit.

Björn is planing a neat and balanced positioning of the monsters and adds a lot of items and objects in the world.

Horst is not here at the moment, no idea where he is dwelling right now. But as far as I know, he is about to add atmospheric illumination to the interiors.

As for myself, I have screwed up something with the music, which I now have to face the music for, literally: For some inexplicable reason, the music, which runs during the game, inflates up to MB in memory, which is no option at all of course.

After a few hours of bug hunting and a restructuring of the whole orchestra, I am almost there, below the 30 MB limit.

The creative possibilities are of course cut down by that imagine, you have a track originally intended for a 80 person orchestra played by 20 persons only , but the final result still sounds good enough to my ears.

Secondary, I am also involved in the visualization of some magic spells. It is all about straining after effect, because a proper fire effect needs to look bombastic with a lot of sparks.

Again, the hard task is to keep the golden mean between the visual effects and performance. An effect, which looks great with numerous polygons slows down the performance as soon as more NPCs fire it simultaneously.

How to kill The Black Troll.

Alright so you begin at good old Xardas' Tower. The room he reads in will have a stone tablet, bookstands, and a item or two there.

Read all the book stands, punch Xardas just once to get him off said bookstands to read, and loot. Upstairs he has a key, more bookstands, and an Alter of Beliar.

At the bottom level you got herbs, a STR Belt put it on, duh and some other supplies. Okay well right behind the tower, you can find a skeleton with some goodies.

Abit up forward a small lake and goblin guarding a tunnel, walk around the lake first around the tree's to find a bow and some arrows, very useful!

If you go down the tunnel you'll have a goblin or 2 to fight, and some young field raiders. Save before taking those raiders though as they can be lethal to newbies.

Loot every mushroom you find too, their tasty. Eventually the tunnels will take you to a valley filled with young monsters and a friend from Gothic 1, talk to him and unlock a dialogue option for getting into town.

After you do what you want down there make your way up again and continue the path way. You got some young wolves, goblins, and bloodflies along the way but they're weak.

The Bandits however want you specifically and you best save before approaching any guy in the wilderness because most bandits wear normal leather clothing.

There is a man in exotic armor from Gothic 1 who'll help you and give you a nice weapon. Anyway after all that you'll meet a farmer and some sheep, tell the first guy you killed the bandits, tell Lothar you want clothes and do all his jobs till the clothes cost 30 gold pieces.

There's also a merchant on a bench who can offer you a document to let you into town, but don't take it. As for how to get into town?

Well Lester the first friend you found told you finding 10 of the same plant and showing it to the guards will do the trick, but there's another secret way that will earn you extra EXP.

I'll mention it in another bit I add later called Nostalgia Bonus. Gothic has been around for many years and back in the day obvious tricks and glitches were difficult to take care of.

This trick will teach you how to kill monsters while they can't fight back. The majority of monsters can only attack you if your on the same ground level as them.

So if say you hopped ontop of a few tree branches large enough to support you without making you fall when making your attack animations, you can attack monsters with say a bow or spells without fear of retaliation.

You will also notice if your out in deep water you cannot attack, the same is true for monsters. They will follow you into the water so lure them to the deep end and then nudge to the water level where you can unsheath your weapon.

They will sit there and take your abuse till death. If you use the deep water trick on NPC's, it'll instantly kill them. Incase you do notice, I copied and pasted this from my Gothic 1 tips and tricks guide.

They never fixed this mostly. Ok you probably never tried this but if you swim out into the ocean, with the obvious intention of just swimming away from the islands you will get a series of texts taunting you, you might even hear a monster sound.

If you keep going you get a Cutscene where a sea monster snatches you while your swimming, down into the depths. I originally never found this in my game, never thought of trying it and thought the text taunts were purely flavor.

One day I heard about this and tested it. Gothic 2 when you go back to the penal colony you will see this large wall blocking something.

The NPC's say orc hordes must be behind it. Well it turns out you can actually climb it! But behind it there's nothing but a message board made by a being called "The mighty alien dwarf".

You can cheat and use the K command with Marvin activated to just pass though the wall but it is possible to get over it.

Okay so there's at least 2 events I know that trigger a Nostalgia Bonus. Triggering these give bonus exp and special dialogue lines.

The first bit involved sneaking your way into the town. To earn this Bonus however, you need to walk around the town and along some path way until you reach a cliff and jump into the water.

Obviously you should save before doing this cause not all monsters will be as gentle as the ones you fought earlier.

Anyway hop into the water and swim onto the docks, there Lares from Gothic 1 again will address you. After you find Diego he'll ask you to escort him to the route you had taken to enter the valley.

Well if you lead him there, walk past it towards some orcs you'll find a giant wooden machine built to haul goods up and down. He's gonna need you to help him get that later so grab it now.

Okay now here's where I'll mention how to get some funny bits of Dialogue. Trolling at it's finest as they have to kill anyone who tresspasses on the ship, but they can't even think about touching a fire mage.

If you do the Nostalgia bonus for Lares, his line is pretty funny. I think the VA for Bloodwyne was fired or something because if you clear a certain area of minecrawlers for him and keep the conversation going he keeps crying the same line again and again.

Gotta find the missing people? Try asking Lord Andre There's plenty more for our Snarky hero to say but these are just a few worth hearing.

Hey guys, decided to update this abit by adding extra bits. Probably saw the comment section of folks adding stuff.

Figured I'd just throw this in. There's a small number of foods that can give you permanent bonuses to stats, you need to go through ALOT of these however so exactly which ones are hard to tell but these are the ones I know of.

I think STR again Dark Mushrooms, 50 of these and you can keep eating them by 50 for extra mana Diggers Meat, It's suggested that this can give you extra HP Finding out exactly how many of anything can give you stats is of course incredibly tedius as you need to power through the stock animation for eating times before results are revealed and NOT every food does this.

You don't have to eat in a row, though it helps with keeping track Dark Mushrooms are also an item one of the masters on Khorinis wants but the reward is only gold.

I'll go into more details on that in the next part. Alright so you probably figured out how to get into the upper quaters of Khorinis, Mercenaries, Magician, or Militia.

But wait, you got to do something special to join Militia, you gotta get a job. It gives you access to special skills and a way to make some money, so let's take a look below.

Can't get this job but easy to get his approval. Go get blessed by the Water and Fire mages in town and don't have a bounty on your head.

Another job you can't have but easy to earn approval. Just get the man his money. You can shake down the tramp for the money with threats of selling her clothes, or pay for her You get wine and happy points with the Carpenter , if you do extort the money, don't let the guy know or he'll claim she stole it from him.

Automatic approval, if you wanna be his apprentice you gotta give him like 1 of each herb, thankfully the begining of the game made that pretty damn easy Xardas tower has most of it This guy will pay you gold ONLY for Dark Mushrooms and Digger Meat, goodies that can permanantly increase your stats.

He even explains he basically scammed you after about mushrooms or so later, what a prick. Soon after the convicts divided into several camps, one of which the Man can join in order to survive and advance the plot.

It's the sequel to Gothic. The game events continue the ones from the first Gothic - as the barrier was destroyed, many prisoners escaped; many of them headed to Khorinis with fake titles since the militia started to search for the escaped convicts , and others remained in the mountains forming groups of bandits.

But things aren't quite that good in Khorinis, as many thought - Xardas the hero's mentor informs him that a greater evil is now threatening the land - as The Sleeper was banished he made a last call to all his minions to gather in the Valley of Mines.

Night of the Raven is the official expansion for Gothic II. The expansion introduces a new world to the game called Jharkendar which is located in the northeast of Khorinis.

It is an ancient and deserted city, populated mostly by pirates and bandits. The hero opens a portal to Jharkendar with the help of the Water Mages, and after getting there, discovers what threatens the island: Raven, a former ore baron in the Penal Colony who has sold his soul to Beliar, the god of darkness, and is hungry for power.

Gothic 3 is the third game in the Gothic franchise, and the official sequel to Gothic II. The third part of the saga shows the hero and his friends sailing to Myrtana.

After getting there, they discover that the continent has been overrun by orcs which have enslaved mankind. The hero also gets another hit, when he finds out from locals that Xardas, his mentor, is the one who helped the orcs with their evil scheme.

Things will change later, when the hero discovers Xardas and finds out that he only helped the orcs for his own purpose. He quests the hero to retrieve some artifacts and kill the king which had imprisoned him in the Colony; after that, they Xardas and the hero went together through a portal into an unknown land.

Forsaken Gods is the official standalone expansion for Gothic 3. It was released on November 21, in Europe and North America. Two years have passed since the hero and Xardas went into the Unknown Lands.

From there, they were watching over Myrtana - which was destroyed by wars between the factions. The hero could stand no more, seeing that the land for which he almost gave his life for was destroyed, and decided to return.

Xardas refused to let him go and tried to explain that eventually mankind will tire of war and peace will prevail. The angered hero refused to listen, and after a great battle which almost killed him, returned to Myrtana to unite it.

Eventually the hero will crown himself the new king of Myrtana. Arcania was known as the fourth game in the Gothic franchise, which was released on October 12, Arcania is the first game in the series which has a new hero.

Also, it is the first game in the franchise which was released for two platforms: PC and Xbox While delayed, the game was also released for PS3.

The fourth game was also being developed by a different company, Spellbound Entertainment. The events in Arcania continue directly from Forsaken Gods.

Arcania will introduce players for the first time to the Southern Islands. A new hero arises, after he finds his hometown destroyed by the evil king.

Great threats await the new hero as he quests for revenge. He eventually discovers during his quest for revenge that it wasn't the king who destroyed his village but a rogue element in his army and finds out that he is the only one who can put an end to the demon that was tormenting the king.

In the end, after receiving his revenge, the hero also puts an end to the demon's possession of Rhobar but it is then summoned by enemies that were long since thought to have been defeated, thereby setting the stage for a possible sequel.

Fall of Setarrif ties up the loose ends of the main game's story and adds yet another chapter to the epic tale. In Setarrif, which is cut off from the rest of the island, chaos and anarchy spread rapidly!

King Robar III is troubled by these developments and is afraid of losing the city and some of his companions, which are in Setarrif at that very moment.

The nameless hero is therefore sent by the king and must journey to Setarrif… But he has no idea of what lies before him. His abilities created the right environment for the series, giving the game a unique "magical sensation".

Hence, it's good to use the optional add-on for this AI, which greatly improves AI behavior during siege battles.

From my personal gameplays, the AI gave me hard times with the exploitation of this addon, hence do not miss this opportunity to install it.

Gothic 2 : Die Nacht des Raben - Tipps für den Kampf

Hochglanzpolitur für ein Online-Rollenspiel: Entwickler Playa Games veröffentlicht heute die Remastered-Versi Startseite Spiele G Gothic 2 Cheats.

Komplettlösung Komplettlösung Lösung für die Hauptstory des Spiels. Bewerte Gothic 2 jetzt! Bitte wähle die Platform: Gothic 2 spieletipps meint: When you would go to the Old Camp You will see a man named Thorus, he wants you to fight another character named Mordrag.

Tell him you'll do it and find Mordrag abit past the traders. He's the man in blue armor so it's easy to spot.

Instead of fighting Mordrag talk to him about him having a problem and then possibly joining the new camp.

He will escort you to the new camp entrance, on the way he will kill every monster along the way, earning you free experience.

After talking to him he will give you a ring to give to a NPC named Lares. You'll see a large cave This is the new camp , keep going past that and follow the road to the new camps mine.

Here you need to get past a wolf and some molerats. Save before going far, if your still weak Low STR and have no sword training I'd suggest running past the wolf while it's busy with the molerats.

Once your there you'll want to look for a man named Swiney, he will give you a Digger Dress for free. You;ll notice him near the new mine gates smoking and not digging.

To be frank, the armor isn't that special. The best Amulet you got from a previous entry I mentioned offers better protection, the best armor Chapter 1 offers is the Novice Loincloth a gate guard at the Sect Camp sells for gold.

It's just a teeny bit better then what Fisk had for This entry is more trivial then helpful, sorry guys. But there's a way to go beyond, even if only alittle.

The cap of training them is Almost 9 levels worth of LP to max out. Well earlier I mentioned how to get your hand on several potions that boost these stats, despite the cap.

A majority of skills require 10 LP 1 entire level but Weapon Mastery and Magic is constantly increasing in price. The most expensive being Magic as you need to unlock spell circles for Runes, and Mana to cast said runes.

Personally I favored using them as I got them. The potions are well hidden and admittedly I can't remember many of them. You'll wanna talk to the named peasants in the field AND the one hidden in the Bar at the new camp.

He's gonna be upstairs behind the counter. There really isn't that many of them so there's no real reason to go beyond in a stat. Ok to do the Test of Faith, Deigo tells you to go to the old mine, tell Ian he sent you and bring the list back.

Now what you can do to earn more exp is go to the new camp and give Lares the list. He'll edit it to give to you to give to Deigo.

Doing this earns you extra EXP, makes the choice between Old and New camp easier and you earn like 21 or so items of goods.

You will miss out on plenty of free EXP and items if you just deliver it to Deigo. Okay so say something is coming up.

A phone call or unexpected visit, something is drawing you away from the game. You thought you hit the pause button to take care of stuff while your guy is at the New Camp.

When I came back I noticed while selling stuff that alot of my Ore went missing. However this only happened once and haven't been properly tested.

AS for the skill itself you can learn, honestly it's not very useful. It's easy for your guy to become a juggernaut brute in the game. Hell, within the first chapter I was knocking out and robbing guards.

So instead of pickpocketing and risking getting caught, I just beat the generic NPC's to take their things. Named ones will get theirs in time, don't worry, including Gomez.

If you manage to steal certain weapons and equip them, the NPC will actually call you out on it and attack you. Not all seem to do this, or at least notice it very quickly.

It's pretty funny hearing Diego get uppity about you holding his Bow. To steal the weapon of certain unkillable NPC's you'll have to enter Marvin mode enter your stats screen and type marvin and hit B.

Picking it up usually triggers them attacking too though.

This only works on People When you first defeat a enemy with say a sword their rendered unconcious and you earn experience. BUT if you allow them to get back up and give them time to pick up their weapon you can kill them with your bow or a spell to earn the same experience again.

But there's an important fact you should know. That means you can beat these guys up AND kill them. Diego for example has Godmode, you cannot hurt him, no matter how strong you get.

Raven has no Godmode, but is super tough and needed for the Old Camp story as he's your boss. Lares, the man you need to recruit you and give you quests in the New Camp does not.

You can mug and kill him, opening a massive can of worms to worry bout if you were connected to New Camp. Some NPC's have Godmode on for no particular reason.

They can have no relevance to any quest and be immortal for awhile. SO you can essentially break the game as early as Chapter 1 by killing named Shadows, killing Lars, and I'm sure most of the Guru's are killable.

Downside is you can't train in Crossbow use unless you're a Guard of the Old Camp. He actually does NOT have Godmode on at all. If you gained a signifigant level like say 8 and been pooling a vast majority of it into Strength, you can injure him.

He's a master swordsman though so you'll also wanna invest at least lvl 1 One-Handed training for 10 LP. Realistically you should be about lvl 8 with STR and lvl 1 One Handed Obviously you'll wanna save before trying.

His sword does roughly 85 Damage but requires 70 STR. It's easier to do alot of damage by unsheating your weapon, provoke him, sheath, quickly sheath as he's putting his away and get several free shots.

Sometimes his friends jump in to help, sometimes they wont. Either way if you're determined you can take his sword and be set for 1 handeds for the entire game.

But let's examine the other weapons. Hit's slightly harder then the best bow. Raven's Right does 70 damage and need 55 STR, not bad, it's notable for having a very visible blade, both sheathed and unsheathed.

Arto's Sword is the weakest at about 60 damage or so needing 50 STR, very generic looking. He has Godmode for a vast majority of chapters.

You'll have a pretty good idea when this wears off though. Besides Uriziel fully restored, it's the strongest 2 hander in the game.

There's a series of armor you cannot obtain without any mods or cheat codes. Probably dumb I point this out but hey, here's a list of armor you can't obtain.

Hey, Tomha here to explain how to become a Magician of Fire and a Guard in the old camp. Where can I learn to remove dragon blood and scales?

You can learn it from Gestaht. You can find him on the way to the mountain fortress. Cross the river and kill the orks on the other side. There's the end of the fence and there you must climb up the hill.

There you can find Gestath and also Gorn in the 4th chapter. How can I get the heavy dragon hunter armor? There is no need of dragon scales.

Just go into the monastery's cellar and read the almanac. Then you can buy the heavy dragon hunter armor at Bennet for a price of Only for the medium dragon hunter armor you need scales, namely 20 and additional How to get the best weapons as a dragon hunter?

You just have to read the almanac to get the knowledge to forge the Large Ore Dragon Slayer. You don't even need to have learned the forging skill. I am now in Irdorath and killed the undead dragon, can I now back to Khorinis and solve the unfinished side quests?

No, you can just go back to the ship and speak with the crew members, that's it! You can't go back to Khorinis. One of the seekers spoke to me and now the hero isn't well.

What are the consequences? Due to the curse of the seeker the hero doesn't regain mana or health points while resting. Pyrokar sells potions against the curse.

In the north is a cave with a winch. I can't use it. What do I need to do? You need molerat grease. Near the brothers on Akill's farm or in the loading compartment of the paladins' ship can you find some of it.

I'm in the 4th chapter and Gestath informed me that Wolf is able to produce crawler plat armor. Is it worth to get it?

No, in the 4th chapter there are better armors. In Gothic 2, its protection value has been decreased. It offers only 55 protection against weapons and arrows.

In the 2nd chapter, it would had been useful. I am in front of the undead dragon but the eye of Innos is unloaded. Where can I find a labor water bottle.

Either you visit Milten or Vatras if one of them accompanies you. Or you go to the loading compartment and look for it there.

What can I do with tools like hammers, pliers, spoons etc. You can't do anything with these tools. The stones are important for some magical runes, they have no other benefit.

I trained picking pockets and now I want to rob the judge but it does not work. You need a minimal dexterity to steal from people.

To rob the judge you need for example 30 dexterity. I defeated the fire dragon Feomathar in the 4th chapter, but where is his hoard?

You can find the hoard on a rock over Feomathar's location. Walk a bit back to the way you came up.

Watch to your left to the mountain. There you can see near a green-red cloud a small cut into the rock. There you can climb up and walk to the treasures.

Does it wise for a mage to invest into combat skills - besides mana points and rune making? The best way is to get yourself a dexterity weapon like a epee, a rapier or a master's epee and to increase your dexterity with potions.

You can use high dexterity to pick locks and pockets while high strength does not help you outside combat.

There is no need to learn long range combat skills. Pedro has stolen Innos' Eye. Where can I find him? You won't meet Pedro again until chapter 6.

You will almost automatically come across him. The door to the forge is locked. Where is the key to it? The nameless knight guarding the forge has the key in his inventory.

You have to knock him out to get it. I'm on the island of Irdorath and I have just killed a dragon there. But how do I get on the other side of the clough behind the dragon?

To get on the other side you have to use a bow. Aim at the switches in the towers across the clough. Which level can a character reach in best case at the end of the game?

Without bug- using a level of 45 is possible in the end. Without beating up all the NPCs randomly, a maximum level of 42 to 44 is possible.

If you do knock out anyone you can, you'll end up with one or two levels higher. I have transformed into a creature, how can I switch back?!

I am using the epee, the rapier or the master's epee which requires dexterity instead of strength.

Which ability will be added to the damage of critical strikes, strength or dexterity? In case of a critical strike as with all swords strength will be added.

I am a soldier in the militia. Xardas won't accompany me to the circle of the sun because I'm not strong enough.

How can I make him escort me? You have to be a paladin to convince Xardas. Therefore you have to free Bennet from prison, then Lord Hagen will promote you and you'll receive a better armor.

Karras wants to create an amulet of protection for me as a mage, but he needs a special stone to do so. Where can I find it?

You will find the stone of blessed earth for example at the Innos' shrine nearby Lobart's farm. There is also one at the shrine near the black troll.

But you can have it only once a game. I was in the hidden library underneath the monastery, but I still don't have the option to hire people for the trip to Irdorath.

What do I have to do? There is a nautical map in the hidden library. Once you have looked at it, you can hire a crew. How can I open the chest in the camp near the southern gate or the chest between the houses in the castle?

Regardless of your guild, you can't open these chests during the entire game. How do I apply the pickpocketing ability?

Once you have acquired this skill you have to talk to the NPCs. You will find an option for pick pocketing in the dialog menu.

Gothic 2 tipps -
